· Financial information such as your debts, assets, employment status, income and expenditure 

· Any information about physical/mental health issues or any other characteristics which may indicate you are a vulnerable consumer

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

· To process an application for finance

· To explore alternative financial solutions

We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

· Credit reference agencies (with your prior consent)

· Additional financial information from lenders/providers to whom we may refer your application

We use the information that you have given us in order to provide our service of credit brokerage or establish what financial solutions may be available to you 

We may share this information with the following partners:

· Money Plus Group, Apsire money, Fresh Start UK, Aryza advice, J3 insolvency,Pacific Financial Solutions, The Debt Advice Service, Some of which are regulated debt solution providers or insolvency practitioners.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

How we store your personal information 

Your information is securely stored. 

We keep your information for 6 months except for where there is a legal or regulatory requirement for us to retain this longer. We will then dispose of your information by redaction of any identifying data.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

· Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

· Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

Who We Share Your Information With

We will routinely share your personal information with:

The Insolvency Service for registration of an approved IVA Our case management system software providers enable your case to be stored and maintained on our case management system Our insurers and auditors Your Creditors where the need arises The Courts Service where the need arises Bailiffs and other enforcement officers where the need arises Any third party who you authorise to deal with us in both providing and being party to your personal information such as partners; civil partners spouses friends or relatives who may be assisting you and us in the provision of our legal services to you Law enforcement agencies; government agencies or our professional regulatory body where we are required to do so.

This data sharing enables us to perform our legal services to you under the terms of the legal services contract between us.

We may also need to share some personal data with other parties regarding our business. Usually, such information will be anonymised but this may not always be possible. The recipient of any such information will be bound by confidentiality obligations.

What Information Has To Be Provided

 For us to carry out the services to you fully and comprehensively; we need you to provide all required personal information which makes up a comprehensive Statement of your Affairs. An example of what this might include is covered above (The Information We Typically Collect) 

How Is Data Held

Information and data may be held at our office; by authorised third parties, service providers connected to our legal services to you; in our e-mail system; storage providers of our files; accounts, and case management systems.

We do not propose to transfer any of your personal information to any party or location-based out of the European Economic Area (EEA)

How Long Will Data Be Held For?

  We will hold the information identified above for the length of the period that we are required to retain this information by applicable UK Tax Law (currently 6 years) and the period for which we are required by the Insolvency Practitioners Association (‘IPA’) to retain a copy of your file containing such information. This is normally 6 years from the completion of your matter.

  We rely on our contract to provide services to you as the lawful basis for collecting and using your personal data and as otherwise noted in this Notice.
